With many years of combined engineering and construction experience behind them and a shared desire to make a difference in the telecommunication industry, Geoff Bost, Eric Dickerson, and Matt Fields founded Engineered Tower Solutions in 2012. Ten years later, ETS is a highly respected engineering company, providing business-critical services to tower owners and operators across the nation and internationally.

Our constantly expanding inspection, engineering, and construction teams remain laser-focused on service delivery excellence so that regardless of project size or scope, every customer can expect the highest quality result on time and within budget.

Chris Ply

President & CEO

Chris joined our team in 2018 and is responsible for managing our day-to-day operations and overall performance. Before this role, he oversaw the structures and A&E departments. With over 20 years of experience in the tower industry, Chris has actively contributed to the TIA TR14 committee, serving as the chair of the subcommittee that drafted Chapter 15 of the TIA-222-H structural standard for antenna and small wind turbine supports. Recently, he was named Secretary of the TIA TR14 committee and is part of the steering committee that supervises technical and editorial aspects of the TIA-222 standard. Chris holds a Master of Civil Engineering degree from North Carolina State University.

Geoff Bost

Chief Technical Officer

Geoff, one of our company co-founders, is responsible for ensuring that we consistently deliver exceptional services to our customers in all regions where we operate. With over 20 years of experience in the tower industry, Geoff’s expertise spans inspections, geotechnical and structural analysis, modifications, civil site development, surveying, and construction. He obtained a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and subsequently served in the US Army for four years, attaining the rank of captain, before embarking on a career in the tower industry. Geoff holds licenses as a professional engineer, AWS certified welding inspector, and a general contractor.

Eric Dickerson

Executive Vice President

Eric, a company co-founder, served in the US Army for ten years before attending North Carolina State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and then entered the tower industry. Eric has expertise in various areas such as construction, maintenance, lines and antennas, structural analysis, structural modifications, civil site, and all field-related activities. Additionally, he is a licensed general contractor in multiple states and an AWS-certified welding inspector.

Matt Fields

Executive Vice President

Matt, company co-founder, manages all aspects of the company’s inspection operations. After attending North Carolina State University and graduating with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree, Matt began his career in the concrete construction industry. His industry experience includes structural analysis and modifications, tower inspections, construction, and foundation troubleshooting. Matt is a licensed professional engineer, general contractor, and a certified trainer for tower rescue.

Don Betts

Chief Financial Officer

Don Betts has been our Chief Financial Officer since 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business from NC Wesleyan College and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in North Carolina. He has been practicing accounting for 40 plus years and is a Member of the American Institute Certified of Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Kyle Evans

Vice President

Kyle joined us in 2012 and has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, and his expertise includes all facets of tower engineering, including structural mappings, structural modification inspections, and maintenance-related assessments. Kyle is a licensed professional engineer, an AWS-certified welding inspector, an ICC-certified rebar and soils inspector, and an ICC-certified special inspector.
