There’s plenty of talk around the use of drones for tower and site inspections. We recently received a call to inspect a storm-damaged tower that was considered unsafe for a hands-on inspection.
Using a drone to capture video and stills for immediate engineering analysis reduced the climbing risk to zero while ensuring the customer’s fast and detailed service. The tower was deemed safe to climb in this instance, and a more detailed, hands-on inspection was ordered.
