Civil Engineering Division Manager

We’re seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Division Manager to lead and manage design projects from inception through completion. This role involves overseeing project managers and the design team while meeting departmental standards, procedures, and production goals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in land and site development, including stormwater management, and bring a minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience to our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project proposals, planning, and execution, maintaining deadlines and budgets.
  • Review project modifications and ensure final deliverables meet quality control standards.
  • Travel to job sites as needed for oversight and resolution of issues.
  • Manage client relationships and support departmental growth.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings, improving processes and team collaboration.
  • Train staff in land development and stormwater management.
  • Develop and manage annual financial budgets and ensure production goals are met.
  • Assist in hiring and maintaining appropriate staffing levels for the division.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • P.E. license – Multi-state licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of civil engineering experience in land development and stormwater management.
  • Minimum of 8 years presenting projects before municipal, state, and federal approval authorities.
  • Strong experience in project design, site plans, and obtaining agency approvals.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with the ability to train others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurance eligibility requirements.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
