Geotechnical Engineer I

We’re seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer I to join our team. This role involves conducting site investigations, analyzing soil and rock properties, and designing foundations and support structures for communication towers and related infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure the stability and safety of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling and borehole logging.
• Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports with recommendations based on site analysis.
• Collaborate with structural and civil engineers to ensure the integration of geotechnical considerations into project designs.
• Review and approve geotechnical aspects of construction plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Perform site inspections during and after construction to assess ground conditions and ensure the proper implementation of geotechnical designs.
• Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies in geotechnical engineering.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of four years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical information.
   

Additional Requirements:

• 25% travel/fieldwork.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license 
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurance eligibility requirements.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
