Senior Construction Estimator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Construction Estimator to join our team. This role requires deep experience in estimating complex construction projects, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and client service. The Senior Estimator will lead the preparation of bids and proposals, analyze subcontractor pricing, and provide constructability and value engineering input during preconstruction. The ideal candidate is self-driven, highly organized, and confident working under tight deadlines while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets at all stages of design, from conceptual through construction documents.
  • Perform quantity take-offs, develop bid packages, and solicit subcontractor pricing.
  • Analyze bids and compile data on labor, materials, equipment, and logistics.
  • Provide constructability input, value engineering recommendations, and support preconstruction efforts.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate hand-offs and cost tracking.
  • Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships, including prequalification and pricing negotiations.
  • Conduct site visits and pre-bid walks as required.
  • Present estimates and cost details in client meetings.


What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of construction experience, with significant estimating experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building components, construction methods, and applicable codes/regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management software (Sitetracker preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.


Additional Requirements:

  • Must be available for a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to travel to multiple job sites, including overnight stays, as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurance eligibility requirements.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
